Need help with plumbing tank!!

Ok I finally got a 225 gal tank I'm excited wanna get this thing up and running over next few weeks!

Basically this is my first big tank so I've only had simple set ups b4

I bought this set up used it came with the sump and external iwaki pump!


Here is tank it's gonna be plumbed into the closet next to it!!

I'm not even sure what all these ports r and can I buy new bulk heads to fit these dursos?

If anyone wants to help me with this as a sm side job I'm willing to work on it with you and pay u for ur time !

Oh I also was hoping to use this 60 gal tank drilled on both sides to hold extra lr

Matt I wouldn't use the 60 for LR only over time it will be just ditris trap. I would use it as a fuge filled with chaeto etc. and sand for critter diversity since your DT will be BB

Matt I wouldn't use the 60 for LR only over time it will be just ditris trap. I would use it as a fuge filled with chaeto etc. and sand for critter diversity since your DT will be BB

+1 on LR, i will skip the sand to, both will be detritus factory, all u need on sump is, Filter bag (200 micro) chaeto, bio media (inside the reactor) +Active Carbon (inside the reactor, both tide to the main pump) and nice water flow, in my opinion . Vio

I'd use the 60 only if you want to make it like a separate tank with other fish in it, not just filled with LR.

The 60 dosnt need to be used if not practical I just have it figure if I can use it for something useful I will !
I'm trying to use what I have and not spend any $ just wanna get this up And running leave myself options to add things down the road if I could get it running with the sump only for now that be great as time goes on I can add refugium etc ...

The 60 actually has a over flow I could plug both the holes on the side and use it as a refugium just not sure if the sump would be able to take the overflow from both tanks if it could I would like to use to grow cheto and add water volume wanna have as much water volume as possible

why not just come out of the valve into suction side of the pump?
