its a great thing that all the labor i would pay is me being tired after im done installing and my buddy doing the gas line work for free (well beer and pizza lol) .... its an easy installation if you have done electrical/gas line work and know electrical/gas line code.

Make sure you get a licensed experienced plumber. There are alot of what we call Sandy Plumbers that popped up out of the woodwork. The Grid wont gas you in if they dont follow code. Source: I'm a national grid tech.

if its after the meter, how will they know you tapped in to your gas line?

Kurt L correct me if Im wrong, but I was told that by code the "T" off the gas line has to be in the house not outside by the meter so it's after the meter...and pay by the usage.
