Wp or Mp ?

Don't know what to get and how many I need I have a 75 gal display with a bare bottom
I need some serious help here I'm running on some really bad pumps that are about to give out

I recommend the wp 40 I got one pump running my 125 on less than half the power I was gonna do two oumps but don't need it motor is cheaper than the others I paid 83 on ebay and I got waves in my tank

I have a 75 sps dominant and had just an mp40 on it and did not think it was enough. I added a wp25 a week ago and it moves a lot of water. If you have the funds for it, I'd say one of each, for a few reasons. One being that the longevity of the pumps will be increased by not running one pump very high to cover the whole tank. Also the fish and coral seem much happier when one pump is not blasting them.

And yea I'm worried about having only one .will it be able to blow away all food leftovers and debris from behind rocks .

I was thinking placing two 40 (one on each side ) two way smaller one blowing behind the rocks on each side


Or is that over kill

If you are going the WP route, then the Wp40 is too powerful, you should consider the Wp25.

If you go the MP route, it looks like you need at least one MP40

Correct. Dialing back can get only down to 50%. Most users think it's too powerful for that size. If you want even flow in case you have weird aquascpaing, consider 2 smaller lower model.

Like putting a rock structure right in front of the pump, hoping to create turbulent flow pattern. I did that before with another powerhead.

Besides, an WP40 is 3x the size of an WP25 so why would you want such a distracting eyesore in a 75g tank.

Wingo (Aqua Pro Builder) is a vendor thats has the WP pumps that your talking about.

yup all the coral r happy, I Have a clam on my sand bed and a few sps high on rocks and everything is doing great.

Why do you need a third wp25, if the other 2 are 'dialed back to lowest setting'?

I got a few dead spots. One is facing in front of rock work. The othe is behind rocks and the third I currently have a koralia but its too weak so the third would go on the back wall to push water towards te front of tank.

Ahh see that's what talking about is there anyway to get rid of dead spot like that more flow or more pumps
