Aliens at Night

Last night i noticed tons of little tentacles/feelers basically coming out of every nook and cranny of the rock work in my 34g Solana. Tips of the tentacles almost look feathered. Anyone have any ideas on what they could be or if there harmful ? Tried my best to get a cell phone vid.​

At first I thought some type if giant apstasia that was hiding until I took a pair of tweezers and grabbed the arm, pulling it out. Turns out it was a bristle star. I've seen a few on my glass at night as well.

could be spaghetti worms, looks like feelers flowing with the current. since i have wrasses i don't see any.

Think those are actually jellyfish. Well.... from the jellyfish family. Think someone with all the scientific info will chime in. Its not Cladonema. most of them anyways, the one in the beginning looks like it a lot.

Yup, thats it. If you see some coral shriveled/closed up in your tank its most likely from these guys if your seeing them in your tank.

greattttttt howw to i get them out ?? :sad2: there literally everywhere i noticed little wiggleys coming out of the sandddd as well as rock work, they 100% look like Digitate Hydroids

They are good for breaking down leftover foods and fish waste , I have tons of em but they only come out at night , that's why I have a red led strip and sometimes sit in front of my tank at night and whatch the critters come out lol it's a totaly different world

ya but im reading now that they have a sick powerful sting and that they will harm and kill sps, some other corals anddd even hurt my hand if i try to grab one. i have expensive chalices in there and sps. is there a fish that would eat these ????????? :dead1:​

I've read that some wrasses like the six line might eat them

Going to go grab me a 6line right now. Ill try anything. Hopefully it doesn't demolish my pods, I'd be heartbroken if my mandarin went hungry.

Bella,
Check this link and at bottom you will see some worms that might look like the ones are in your tank. Than google the name you might think it is and take it from there.

i had those spaghetti looking worms all over at night. i got a mystery and a yellow wrasse. i haven't seen a spaghetti worm or bristle worm since. but they probably will wipe out your pods cause i had a lot of copods, but don't see them any more.
