quick question on stocking. I def want a yellow Watchman as well as my clown pair. who should i put into the tank first? im thinking Clowns as they are very very very hardy and, although i know my tank is cycled, the first fish always scare me. what do you fine folks here think?

sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, as always, this flipping tank is giving me a headache.... why must all this stuff be sooo rough... i have a small leak and is also the reason my water levels drop so quickly, its coming from where the 90 elbow leaves my drain and meets the PVC going down... my question is this: Can i duct tape that SOB? the leak looks to have gone through my silicone seal... i also didnt use PVC glue on this one part... ideas?

Options:
1) Duct tape
2) remove and put PVC primer and cement
3) Both 1 & 2
4) None of the above

FINEEEE i was worried you guys would say that =(

ive turned off the return pump already to give it time to dry. Move the heater into the display and left the PH's on fo circulation. only have snails and 4 hermits in there right now so im not worried in the least, its just such a PITA... I decided to not go with the display refuge, at least not for now, so this allows me to remove the T and to move the Ball valve MUCH lower so less of that drain sound... blah! guess im getting wet tonight =(

you really need to take it apart and dry it thoroughly use some emmery cloth or sandpaper to clean the fittings and then gule them together. Just turning the pump off isn't going to cut it. Dont think you can put pvc glue over the leal and it will work. Shortcuts= more work in the long run.

i totally agree, i just meant that i was giving the pipe time to dry so when i remove it, its not a ton of water everywhere. im going to cut new PVC tonight and set it up. hopefully have it dry and ready by tomorrow...

how long can i keep the tank going at this point? since there is no filtration and only circulation?

So, Tuesday night i redid my plumbing. HOLY Cow Dung, what a difference. I dont hear drain anymore, at least not like before. Before it sounded like a flood, no wi hear the humming of the pump more, i'm actually VERY surprised. Me and the gf are very happy LOL.

Evergrow d120 has been ordered and is set to arrive at my casa between the 6th and 12, so im happy about that

Purchasing a Tunze 9002 from a member for a great price.

If all goes well (and its been a while since) i should have my clowns by next week.

this has been one hell of a mission to get everything working, but im glad i didnt rush anything and have taken my sweet time to get everything in working order.
