This pic looks good. I'm shopping around for rock right now. Are/were you happy with your BRS reef saver rock?

BRS rock is simply awesome. its dry so you dont have to worry about any of those bad stragglers. throw in 3 pounds of LR to seed them, and your good to go. Be mindful to wash them thoroughly, i unfortunately didn't know how to (still dont) and i'm still leaching phosphate because of it

That's good to hear. I order 55lbs of Reef Saver and 20 of Pukani. I wanted to have a slight mix of rock so it looked a bit more diverse.

I thought RS was pre-cured though. Maybe I'll bubble it for a week or so in a tub of heated salt water before putting it in.

time for an update ladies and germs. firstly i'd like to thank you all for the help with everything from configurations to shortcuts. So i last left you all with a really bad Cyno problem:

so i decided, after a lot of reading and an attempt at hydrogen peroxide dosing that did absolutely nothing to them, to go out and get medication. i landed on Chemiclean due to reviews and online posting.

instructions and reviews all said the same thing: they need oxygen!
I used 2 airstones on each end of the tank to make sure it all worked!

here is a close up to one of the airstones

i also mixed it in a cup of water and then poured into the tank.

I was told the skimmer would go crazy and it really did.
Here it is at 1 minute after the dose, set almost closed (with almost 4 days of skim)

it took me 2 doses, which is apply one dose wait 48 hours then do a 20% water change leave for a few days and do again. After everything was said and done, it obliterated any cyno i had and has left me cyno free for well over a month. the one negative i did see from the whole thing was the GHA attack i got shortly after the cyno disappeared.

Here is what she looks like now after i ripped away a ton of GHA and lowered lights to 20% for a few days

Also, i received my first corals! woooooooooooooooo
Purchased GSP and Cheato from Troy with a free birds nest that is surviving in my tank. I dont dose so i hope it will work out. Saturday i had the pleasure of meeting Rob and Gab. Left there with 3 zoa polyps; Rasta, Scrambled Eggs and my personal favorite Utter Chaos (I'll post pictures as soon as i figure out how to lol). all are fully open and i'm excited to see them grown along with the tank! Rob def has a repeat costumer!
