I've had two Aiptasia anemones on opposite sides of my mixed reef 120 tank for a couple of months. I tried everything to kill them. I even went out and bought a Majano wand. They were anchored so deep in my live rock that even that didn't work. Today I was doing a water change, and they finally pissed me off for the last time! I took some aquarium epoxy putty and plugged them in their holes. Good riddance!!! Should have done this from the get go.
Anyone else do this as well???

I covered them with epoxy before. Sometimes they were trapped forever and sometimes they managed to slither out of another opening.

You are fortunate that they have not multiplied. If they do manage to escape the sticky putty death just pull the rocks out and burn them to a crisp. A nice butane lighter works wonders but any flame will suffice. Even if it means breaking down your tank it's better than having to deal with an infestation of these monsters.
