Got milk

It actually has to do with the level of organic phosphate in the aquarium. A stripped newer aquarium will not support the population of zooxanthellae in SPS corals. Less established tanks with lighter colored SPS will not tolerate the direct focus of LED without fading in color. Hence the acclimation problems with many reefers.
Well put ,you tell them!
guess you forgot to say it ?lol:smash:
jer runs leds and this post already has
more action than mr has in a month lol
Actually what T5's had AND have going for it is you can choose your spectrum and always have the freedom to change it at anytime. They also have the fact that if a ballast goes you can get a new ballast only. Of a driver for a LED unit blows good bye unit- either to get fixed under warranty or you get to buy a whole new 700 dollar sometimes
FYI Long Island aquarium uses LEDs in their grow out tanks and for reefgen :shhh:
Bush rules!
