I can't stress enough . That most Lfs don't dip or take any precautions what so ever to prevent , hitchhikers , or unwanted alage ect . Be careful qt your infected rock . Cheap corals are cheap for a reason . Your shipment arrives at 9:00 am and is being sold at 9:30 . Making 5-10 a coral what do you expect .

Qt your rock and toothbrush your rock , use a dip ect iodine. And fresh salt water to rinse. Keep on actinics in your qt system , monitor it for a few days and keep the daylight down.
If you don't have a qt invest in one . Not much money, but will be your savior in the long run . Good luck .

My rocks were bleached repetitively for over a month then soaked in prime and dried out in the sun for a little bit more than aweek. I dip all corals and redip in melafix if anything looks off. Yes I run phosban I stated that in earlier posts.

It's feeding on nutrients. What is your phosphate level? Either way the best way to get rid of it is to do some large water changes and starve it of nutrients. You can also bring up your mag level but be careful when doing that because of your inverts.

buy dry rock, make a scape, cure it separately, break the tank down and re set it up in a day , dip everything and don't get it in the first place.

i cant blow it off or suck it up... i can like brush it off with a hard toothbrush... dosnt retract that i can see.

if you can brush it off i would say try to bush as much of it off as you can and suck it out. you can even use an old canister filter to suck it up while you are brushing it off. then do a large water change. i had to do that when i had a bad hair problem.

all the PO4 , is from u rocks, after bleaching, now u have to wait,make sure the skimmer works well, in my opinion. PO4 may show "0" because Algae use it.
