I've been doing a ridiculous amount of research on what the heck ever is taking over my rock work / bothering my corals. The closest things almost identical in certain areas are these three things. Skeleton Shrimp, Bryozoan and Foraminiferans. The little info ive found on them is that they are good.... I do not agree with this since its noticeably in to many places wouldnt like it and starting to .. i feel like smother some zoas/acans/ various corals.

any info or advice would be HIGHLYYYYY appreciated.

Second pic is foraminiferans. What prodibio are you using and how often?

If I had to guess off the top of my head from your pics I'd say you're overloading the system on food and your filtration or setup isn't able to process it. The forams are filter feeders and the algae is going to feed off of the dissolved nutrients left in the water. An over abundance of filter feeders is a big red flag for overfeeding and the algae is a side effect of that. Either cut back on feeding or evaluate your filtration and go from there.

i rather not add any animals to the set up as a fix for it. i have a substantial clean up crew. i have a reef ready 65g using filter socks i change once a week, reef octopus skimmer, running phosban and carbon, have a section of rubble rock and caulerpa. Ive been feeding once a day new life spectrum with garlic... guess ill cut back to once every 2 days ?? feel thats a little cruel. I DOOOOOO have a gorilla crab and hes been harassing my fish tearing them up and i lost my chole tang, scooter blenny, 1 green mandarin and witnessed my blue spot jaw fish being dragged by his tail to death. Need to catch him. Possible the fish death is also feeding the stuff?? I also have a TON of nassarius snails nothing dead lasts on my floor for more than minutes.

im using bioclean like it says for my size tank. been doing it for a little over a month now. kinda when this algae started popping up.
