Miracle mud

I've had a bag of miracle mud siting here for like 3 4 years should I use it or no!???

If it's still sealed it should be fine.Check to see if it has an expiration date?

It's only a 5 pound bag I need 30 35 more does the measure that it says go by sump size or tank size?

Definately make sure its sealed and check expiration date!

It would be a miracle if it could still provide any benefit. Whatever was alive in there is long dead.

are you using a separate tray for your miracle mud? don't lay it all over your fuge. you need to change it over time.

The MUDs siting there for along time I just started taking care of my 175g tank that was my brothers he passed away my other brother took care of it for a bit and stoped I don't know how allot of the fish survived

In the sump I have a section of live rock then the mud with chaot then the carbon

Can't find chaot any where I need to get more u guys know anywhere In brooklyn

sorry for your loss. i'm sure someone in brooklyn will help. if i were you, i'd get rid of all that miracle mud, find a better skimmer, a larger sump, and change all media. your best bet is to get to petco and find the largest tank they sell for the $1/gallon deal, which is taking place right now. i beleive they sell a 55g. or look for used 75g in the marketplace. do you have test kits? if so, test your water. if not, invest in a test kit asap, test your water, and let us know what your results are. what fish are in the tank now? pictures?

Everything's good ammonia 0 phosphate 0 nitrite 0 nitrate 10 calcium 400 alk waiting on a delivery for test kit and the sump is bigger then 75g

I have 4 tangs 4 clown fish 1 goby and blenny
Red Sea sailfin for about 6 years
Yellow tang about 5-6 years
Yellow eye khole tang 4-5 years
Blue powder tang about a mouth
2 black clownfish
2 clownfish
1 algae blenny
1 blue spotted watchman goby

Sorry the sump looked much smaller. I would consider a new skimmer. What lights are you running?

Skimmers working like on steroids lights all I know its 400w and I have the on top the the tank

Yeah that a mush problem I would say, but it's does look nice.

I know I wanna get them out and put allot of corals !!
