I agree and I know it sucks but as soon as you fill the tank up the pressure of the water is going to bust that glass wide open. I would see about getting the panel replaced or just calling it a wash and getting another tanks.

Drill it and make a sump out of it or call it quite there is no way u r going to be comfortable having that tank up and running and the idea of it flooding u r house is OK

If the tank isn't drilled then you can get a glass company to cut the panes all around and polish you will just end up with a shorter tank if you're cool with that. If it's drilled it can probably still be done but will require more work. If any panes are tempered which they don't appear to be then you just need to scrap it.

below is the response I received from Deep Blue.
------------------------------------------------

Your tank is fine. The half inch Opti-Pure front panel is not tempered. Even if it was, the panel would have shattered upon impact with the corner.

Hope this helps.

As discussed, here is a picture(s) of the piece glued back on. Measured the piece broken is about 8-9 inches long. Not sure if I stated it in the previous emails but it was a clean break. Almost as if I was attempting to shave the rim.* It is below the water level mark so I'm not concerned about that but more so will it* sustain the pressure onced filled?
Is the security of the tank compromised due to damage of this sort? Please advise.
