What makes a Good/Great Reefkeeper?
To me, that's what makes a person a good Reefkeeper.
For the time-being, lets assign "reefing/corals" as a person of the female sex.
So what does it mean to Love the hobby?
Well, you saw her for the first time at the local fish store or on a National Geographic picture. And it's love at first sight. You want to learn everything about her. What makes her tick, what she needs, what makes her reproduce, what an investment this will be, what a sacrifice this will be... so you RESEARCH. You read everything there is about her. From the lighting requirements she needs, to the gentle flowing caress of the water she enjoys...you research it all. ANd then you SPEND! You buy her the best product, not the cheap ones. The best skimmer you can afford, the best wavemaker you can afford.... You make sure she gets what she deserves cause it's worth it in the long-run. You also have to RESPECT her. That means you can't rush anything. You can't just throw fish in or stock it before she cycles, even though you might want to very much... you must have self-control. Meanwhile, you learn the virtue of PATIENCE, because she will give you what you want, everything you've dream about, everything you thought she was capable of the first second you saw her in your LFS or your National Geographic photo...in time.
