Can I fly with magnets?

I wanted to buy some Jebao pumps and bring them with me either in my check in bag or carry on but I am worried that maybe magnets are not allowed on a plane. Does anyone have any idea about this?

Best thing to do is give the airport/airline a call and describe what it is you wish to bring.

You should have no problem what so ever with bringing magnets across. Keep in mind that most audio/computer equipment does the same with having magnets used in speakers. Just keep it away from any electronics.

I can't really call the airport because I don't speak the language but a quick online search showed some people having problems (being not allowed) bringing rare earth magnets on the plane. Also I remember them saying something about shipping pumps with magnets is a bit trickier. I would hate to get to the airport with a bunch of pumps and have them confiscated Didn't some member here work for TSA or something?

Sure, if you've got powers like magneto and can generate a magnetic field you should be able to fly.

my friend just brought a polario pump with magnetic mount up from florida in luggage, no problem.

Did you ever buy the pumps? If so were they cheaper then here in the states?
