Ideal temperature for a reef?

this summer my tanks been kinda hot since i run no chiller i owned a chiller and never used it cuz my room would get hot so i sold it a few months ago. My tanks been running at like 84 and everything is doing great i know thats not a good temp but as i said everything looks great the only thing that died this summer was a bubble coral

77 - 77.5 in the winter and 78 - 79 in the summer.

I agree Arnaldo, this will be the first summer I run my tank without
the chiller. Been using a fan when it gets really hot, but my central ac helps a lot.
My tank temp has gone as low as 75.5-76 to as high as 84.5-85 and haven't had
any negative affects. I keep corals, fish and inverts all the same.

My via aqua heater when it resets it defaults to 79 but the thermostat is off by a degree and if I change it, it loses it on reset. I've tuned my controller to turn it off when it reaches 78.2 and on when it drops below 77.9 and I get a very nice stable temp. There are maybe 2-3 spikes in a week where it will jump to 78.9.

I wouldent recommend this

78 is nice, gives you decent room up or down in case of any issues, broken heater,broken chiller, faulty pump,etc...
