Hey guys,
Im a midshipman in the Navy and I came home about 2 days ago from the RimPac training in Hawaii. Ive been on training for the past 3 months and before I left, the aquarium seemed to do fairly well. However when I came back, I found all my invertebrates dead, half my fish stocks are gone, all my SPS are dead, I have 2 kind of mushrooms and 2 kind of zoas left. They all all closed up and wont even open. Ive been in this hobby for over 3 years now, and this is the first time my aquarium crashed this badly.
I wanted to thank these members who I was able to get help from.
@edv (Ed) for his free blue hornet frag!
@tacson (Jason) for his discount on LR
@sun1914 (Joe) for for his little start up frag pack.
Ended up spending more than I wanted to but it actually came out better than I expected to in less than 2 weeks so it worked out. Thanks to everyone who helped, I got to bring it back from the dead. My mother absolutely loves it again.
I have more than enough mushrooms thanks to Jason! ahaha. When I get back home, I will be more than happy to share this love.
Ed, I already fragged some blue hornet and share it with people who are in need. THANKS FOR THAT BIGGGGG FRAG. This will also be going back out to members of MR.
Thanks Macropora (Carlos) for that hook up everytime I went to your house.
These pictures didnt come up in order... but oh wells.
The first one is what I got right now after the whole redo... and the one below it was before I got all everything.. The aquarium next to the bottom was just filled with algae and it just crashed so I redid everything.
The top left and bottom will be me snorkeling in Shark Cove in Hawaii. ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL.
The 3rd one is a selfie of me with a sea turtle.
And the last 2 pictures are the picture of RimPac. Absolutely amazing. I was luckily chosen to participate in this exercise and I met some awesome people from all around the world. Was on the CG-73 Port Royal with GMs. Got to be on an Australian sub, Korean and Japanese Destroyer.
This is a description of what RimPac is..
