They have a new owner, last few times i went and this was a while ago. They had some nice stuff reasonable price, but im in brooklyn so its a bit out of the way. One time i went i got there after a shipment caught some nice colonies for great prices.

The place is always packed with fish, coral,dry goods....same owner for the last 2 years ..
Why go to the basement vendors when u have GREAT STORES like this ,FOR THE SAME PRICE or CHEAPER ,and way more to choose from.

Rich is a great guy and they have some nice packed tanks to choose from. Also carry a lot of dry goods which not many places do.

Its The same owner for the last 2.5 years.Great people to deal with.Number one in prices and stock. If you want something and they don't carry it the will try and get it for you.

AV is really nice. I personally think Long Island has some of the nicer stores. You have Aquarium Village, Pets warehouse (3 different locations), tropical island aquarium, bt's jungle, country critters, fish life and probably a couple I am forgetting. You can make a nice day visiting all of them if you travel furthest east first and back track..

those guys are very nice and quite knowledgeable and good looking. I have my ritteri anemone purchased from them. very good survival rate: all survived and only one perished in a very classic way: ritteri puree made by mp 40

Great products and staff. I am not sure how the crappy petshop down the block across the street from the OTB place is still around.

Great prices on salt $34 a box of instant ocean or 3 boxes for $90. They also get nice rare stuff.

East Meadow isn't that far. It costs nothing to check it out. There dry good prices are at or less then what you will pay on amazon. They also have a decent plumbing selection.
