bought an apex, upgrading from reefkeeper.The apex is soo complicated I still can't seem to get it......This is crazy it should not be this difficult. ........

The initial setup is a bit of a PITA. Once you get over that hump, you'll love it!

If you're getting frustrated, take a 5 minute break. In a few hours, it'll be all set up and you'll forget about the hassle.
