Okay okay I'm sure we've all seen these posts about what salt to use, how to mix it, how long to mix it etc, but looking for advice on how to set it up.

I have a Wayne pump (similiar to what is below) with the intake on the bottom and the output nozzle on the side.

I have a Brute garbage can that I would like to mix salt in, and since it is a fairly strong pump it should do it fairly quickly. My issue is that due to its power and not being mounted to anything this pump just wants to spin to the point that it would like to snap the power plug off.

Is there anything I could attach this to to prevent it from spinning like a tornado? The unfortunate parte is that the output isn't center mounted so even if i took the nozzle off the end it would still spin.

I use a 55 gal plastic barrel make for water storage have a pump in the bottom run a hose from it so I can pump direct to my tank about 10 feet away. when I mix I just run the hose out the top and back into the barrel. this brings the water from bottom to top and makes for good mixing.

Oh I've definitely used this previously with a garden hose to transport the water to a tank before when I had bigger tanks. My problem though is that from the power this thing has that it makes it spin and I would rather not have the hose sitting in the water for extended periods of time etc and the fact if it sits on the rim it's just going to hide salt from being moved properly and dissolved.

Trying to find a way to keep it stationary without making it hazardous is my issue.
