The GE silicone type II (i belive this is supreme) is ok to use. Many here including myself have used it for sumps. GE silicone type I should not be used

This is wrong. Type 1 is the correct one to use. Type 2 is the anti mold and mildew which is bad to use.

Some will get 100% aquarium safe silicone but i have always used

CRAP, sorry about the typo, yes that's correct Tony. Multitasking with some water changes/siphoning. Type I is what i used

Well I just don't know what to do at this point.. I emptied the new sump with bad silicone out took all equipment out rinsed with sink water as my ro unit only produces 75gal a day then put my old sump back together and now I'm thinking I should just dump all tank water and do 100% water change!!

Don't do 100% water changes, as that will only make it wors. Do a large water change, about 50%, and the run a lot of carbon and get a poly pad. I would also get a source of bacteria, like Prime or Night out, this will help.

If possible move the fish and coral to another tank, this will give some time to get the tank back working.

I do t have another tank to transfer everyrhing and if I did Id say f it at this point anyways.. I did what u said to do and I'm just going to hope for the best.. I believe I did everything I could possibly do to save it.. Thank u for the help

Yellow tang dead.. doesn't seem good and no Evo i don't know how I would test for something like that

Do you still have the silicone container or threw it away?

Get a holding contains and place any livestock still alive in there. I wouldn't risk keeping it in there if you had something die.

Smh I'm working 3 hours away from my house can't do anything. At this point before I left at 4 am this morning did another 10 gallon water change

I still have tube of silicone.. The old sump that has the silicone on it is not contected to tank anymore.. I saw couple other threads on other sites people saying that's deff what's wrong practically posioned everything and to keep changing water to get posioned out of water colume.. My gf is home and she really don't understand how to change water out or if something goes wrong what to do so I'm dead in the water with the fishes.. Just gotta hope for the best..

So reports from the gf today and she said things r starting to open back up snowflake clowns still here and eating yellow wrasse and lepord wrasse and Cardinal as well.. Frogs wand look to be opening about half way plus zoos r about half way also.. Acans still look hurt together with some shrooms I have.. Sps seems to be fine also slowly opening back up..

Yes!! Do not use mildew resistant silicone lol have to laugh could cost u a ton of money and more important your sanity lol

Any of the stuff that will add bacteria to the tank, like nite out or special blend.
