dang that sucks. Had the same happen to me a few years back. Had a power surge come through a faulty power strip. Only reason I realized was when i put my arm into the tank to scoop out my precious fish I felt a tingle run up my arm. Lost everything with a heartbeat.

What did they look like ? . Normal doa , did they turn white , any symptoms prior to this happening , still no reason on what happened.

was it from a brand new un opened container? is there a expiration date on the container?

No disease these fish were personally qt'd and medicated for internal parasites months or years before with no new additions.

Food was new unopened and my shrimp ate it too.

Don't think it was a disease because even quick killing diseases or parasites like velvet take a couple of days. Poisoning, PH spike, ammonia and electrical can kill that quickly, but most likely will effect the corals as well.

if it was electrical your'e corals would have showed some signs of stress as well i think you got a bad batch of food sorry to hear that hope you find the cause and keep us posted.
