Hello all:

Calling all plumbing pros to lend some advice on this recently acquired tank:

Here is a picture of the plumbing behind the tank

My questions are as follows

(1) you can see that the previous owner reduced the drain to 1" immediately up at the top coming from the glass holes elbow. I was thinking of keeping it at 1.5" all the way down until I plumb it in the sump. Sump I'm picking up has 1" bulkheads. Also thinking of ditching the ball valves and just using unions. Not a fan of restricting the drain in any way.

(2) has anyone used the super flex pvc? Was thinking of using this for both the drain and return lines. The claim is that the super flex pvc is 40% more flexible than the regular flex pvc but not sure it is especially for the 1.5" OD tubing.

(3) any tips /suggestions welcome. Would like to keep the original plumbing but it's kind of tight to the wall and the 2 x 4 on the stand is sort of in the way.

Thanks in advance for the input
