Didn't spend much $$ on the WP40 which has great flow, but it seems to have broke down about a year later. The power supply works and the impeller looks clean, just won't spin. Anyone have a similar problem when using this wave maker?

I've had my Vortech's much longer than that.

Even if it looks clean i will give it a vinager bath. Usually after that they work again
A friend of mine just had the same problem and thats what i did and works like nothing happen.
Hope that helps

The WP40s (and WP25s) are well know to stop working at the year mark.

I also had this happened to me on 2 of the WP25s that I had. I soaked and clean 1 of them in vinegar and it started working again. The other worked as well, I just couldn't get it to work again in "else mode". So be sure to also try a different mode after you clean it.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I'll try the vinegar bath and trying different modes to see if the impeller starts up again.

My WP25 stopped working also. I cleaned it in vinegar and after 2 days stopped working again. I gave up. I have another RW-4 that works but I'm not sure how long though. Unfortunately this brand is not very reliable. The pump has many modes but it doesn't matter once it stops working.

My WP25 stopped working too, and it was very clean. It happen once before and then all of a sudden it started again, but this last time it wouldn't start again and I just gave up on it. Some time you get what you pay for, it seems to be the case with Jebao products.

Yep, we get what we pay for. Could be an issue with the controller.
