sorry to hear about your experiences. I have 4 Jebao products, it's kind of hit or miss but there is definitely no customer service and the specs on the products aren't always correct.

DCT3000 Pump - Stated that it went down to 700 lph however a simple test showed that it only went down to 2000 lph. No response from Jebao on question about this or my other question about using a less powerful wall wart. Used in larger tank and pump working fine for 1 month now

DC1200 Pump - had a vibration, no response to question about what to do. Eventually went away and pump working for 2 months now.

Jebao Doser. First unit had dead pump, next unit works fine.

Jebao wavemaker - over 1 year, no issues. BTW, if yours it too powerful, you can use a smaller power adapter. This doesn't seem to work with the DCT pumps though.

Here is my experience. I had Jebao WP-10 for about a month and the controller (the old version) got stuck on one setting and I could not control it anymore. I got the replacement ($10 S&H) and it worked about the same time after that the pump stopped working. I got the new one now with a new controller and so far it works. It's already about 6 months. I don't have any experience with the Jebao dosers but I do have 2 BRS 1.1ml dosers and they work perfectly for 4 years without any maintenance. They still dose 1.1ml.

IME, RW and DC pumps are absolutely awful (2 RWs and 4 DCs lasted less than 3 months). IMO, you'd better off buying a handle of Clan MacGregor and some lottery tickets than buying Jabao RWs or DCs.

But WP pumps still seem to be holding up as are the dosers.

THANKYOU, no idea why people praise their stuff, yea its cheap but at what cost. no problem shelling out the benjamins for a frag but money for a decent pump too much

I actually went through 2 wp40's and now have an rw15 and rw20. The 2 wp40's crapped out after around 16 months and so did the rw15.....good news was that it cost less than half the price of the unit to replace the motor ......SO....if you go into this knowing they are only going to last a certain period of time and are willing to spend another $35 every 16 months then at least you know what you are getting into ahead of time. I contemplated purchasing used Tunze 6105's but was warned, (by Tunze), that the life on these were only 4 to 5 years....(generally that's how old these are when people decide to sell.....so they are on borrowed time). THAT's why and when I decided to pay for a replacement motor on the rw15. They are good but don't have the longevity, (but then again you are not paying prices like Tunze and Ecotech).
