The reef shoppe in the bronx. Not only do they have a nice variety and great prices, but its also a great environment. Friendly staff, friendly customes... Always a good time at the reef shoppe.

Not my fav but with it's easy to get to local, friendly and knowledgeable staff, fair prices, and they usually have some interesting stuff not commonly seen, def worth a visit.

But when it comes to "must see", there are a couple, and Manhattan Aquariums is one of the easiest if not the easiest to see if you are visiting town. (aka not requiring a half-day trip just for that)

I like Manhattan aquariums, the staff is great, they know their stuff and you'll get great advice. The fish tanks are clean and well kept and they treat fish when they first get them in. Great for me who doesn't have a quarantine

I think Manhattan Aquariums is worth the visit mostly to see the big tanks they have,,at least 500 gal when you walking in the door! Correct me if Im wrong but they are sister stores with Uniquecorals.com?

Yes they are!

And sadly the 500 gallons is on its way to the West Coast. Harder to convince the girlfriend now...

I wish all the stores were like reef shoppee! went there 1 time and best experience.
The employees would stay and explain what u need to know before buying.
Not like others store that just wanna sell the stuff or leave u in the mid's of a sale or question.
I hope they move to queens village LOL

UGH WHY!!?? I remember they didn't have any magnesium in one day (because of a sale or something) a long time ago and they were nice enough to sell me from their personal stock for taking care of that beast, a gallon of magnesium! lol,, somebody tell them about the continental plates and how colorado will soon be selling beach front property!

I don't think Manhattan aquarium is going to last to long open ... That area belong to the MTA and there lease is about to expire !!! Great store by the way .hate see great store close I wish they find a new location soon .I started this hobby when some of there staff use to work in new world aquarium in 1998
