Hi guys I am a 3rd teacher in the bronx and I am looking for help out there to put a reef aquarium in my classroom next year.I work in a title one school where my kids don't have much in there lives. I try my best to make my classroom there home.My plan was to upgrade at home and bring my 90 into the classroom next year, but that has been put on hold for now. CMON REEFERS we support each other this hobby, please help me bring this hobby to my classroom, these kids will most likely never see any such thing.

have a 36" 5 bulb T5 fixture for you, pick up only forest hills Queens 11375. Its from aquatinix, Tx5 model. It's over 5 years old, still works, but may be too short for your 90. Also have random mushrooms and other soft corals lying around the sand bed, once your tank is up. Of course that's if I still have livestock at that time.

There is someone there throughout yr. I also have a yr to setup a plan. Not setting this up until sept 1 st

First off would like to offer myself to help in any way I can to make this happen...Have many things that come and go so when the set up time gets closer let's talk and we'll figure what you need to make this happen in a safe way, with gfci outlet and ground probe. As well as back ups and emergency overflow so you don't have issues.
Should consider, or line up, a way to get things that will be needed to maintain this set up. Like salt, ro/di, carbon, gfi, or what ever else may be needed. With a good sump design things like gfi and carbon could be eliminated or minimized, as well as make it more interesting for the kids with macro as a way of showing how an ecosystem works. Nonetheless a budget, or a lfs willing to donate should be considered

I m working on it, trying to find companies. These kids I'm telling come from shelters and broken homes. They think a gold fish is the greatest. I want to give them Finding Dory(lol).Hopefully I can prove that it helps ease behaviors and anxiety and show data to outside administration.Maybe a program can be started in nyc schools
