Which one do you think is better (Pros/Cons) and why?

I say the Aquaclear because the basket is easy to take out... the sponge and other media are very durable and able to be rinse quickly....Sponge gets full of pop (shows its working) but lowers the GPH a lot probably...

I dont OWN A EMPEROR400 so that's why i posted this... FROM WAT I SEE in the pictures, the filter bags might be a pain to clean, especially if you put the carbon in them? i dont know... The bio wheel seeems to be the part that attracts me to it though, because it really seems like it would agitate the water a lot...also the way it's designed you might actually get 400gph...

In my 90 gallon fish only i use a wet/dry sump and the emp400 and in my 55 fish only i use it as the sole filter. The filter bags are easy to replace, all u have to do is pull the dirty one out and slide the new ones in. All the filter pads come with carbon inside u really dont need to use the carbon cartridge part. But if u want to use that part it takes an extra minute of ur time to put the carbon in. Definately a great filter for the price(under $40), i've been using them for a year now and no problems with them.

When I had my 135 gallon Cichlid tank, I used 3 of the Emporer 400's and I swear by them. The tank was very heavily stocked with over 40 fish of different sizes pooping up a storm. The water was always clean and clear and the fish must have been happy as they bred enough to buy me a Jeep. I don't have any experience with the Aquaclear, except that I made a small H.O.T. fuge out of one. If you go with the 400, I think you will be pleased.
