What could have happened?!

The swings huh.........what best way to control them without (if there is one) a doser?
I usually have to dose 1 oz each of Randys two part every couple of hours through out the day - every day.
Are there any visual tell tell signs of impending doom I can look out for?
I have five more wild acros that I would hate to lose!
My Favorite big 8" Noblis has grown 1/4" in the past 4 1/2 weeks and,
has changed colour from a lime yellow with white tips, to a
Bright emerald green with deep purple tips(with new points budding all over)-should that worry me?.
