
best thing to do is get a new tank ..just doesnt pay to drain it then resealing it .
where would he put his lve stock and corals for the 4 or so day for it to dry if he resealed it

The duct tape is only diverting the water, not stopping it unless you manage to put it on the inside of the tank.
Its pretty easy to re-seal the tank, but you need to empty the tank and keep it empty for a few days to allow the silicone to cure.
you say the water is coming from the top brace??
if so all you have to do is lower the water level in the tank. remove the top brace, add more silicone to the top brace and put it back on.
but you already decided to get a new tank. best of luck.
Hd Has Some Underwater Epoxy That You Could Use Temporarily On The Exterior, It Dries Pretty Quick Also
