only real remedy is to find the leak , drain the tank, and reseal it.
best thing to do is get a new tank ..just doesnt pay to drain it then resealing it .
where would he put his lve stock and corals for the 4 or so day for it to dry if he resealed it

Ronen already done, wasn't crazy about the nasty scratches on my 2nd hand tank. Tomooorw nite I'm picking up a new one,same size though.
Wifey is already pissssssed.
This give me a chance to catch some fishes I don't want anyway :bagfish:
The duct tape is only diverting the water, not stopping it unless you manage to put it on the inside of the tank.
Its pretty easy to re-seal the tank, but you need to empty the tank and keep it empty for a few days to allow the silicone to cure.

I have a friend coming over, hopefully he'll take some of the larger LPSs I keep, cause a 40g Rubbermaid might not hold alot of my corals.

I know, I know - this is only temporary until I get my new tank.
Going to have to sell the leaking one with caution to the buyer.

you say the water is coming from the top brace??
if so all you have to do is lower the water level in the tank. remove the top brace, add more silicone to the top brace and put it back on.

I just want to take a moment to thank everyone who offered their support and advice. The transition to a new center overlow Oceanic 58g went smoother than I expected. Thanks to people on this reef forum who offered their help no matter what time of day it was - Thankfully I did not loose a single piece of livestock.

Two part epoxy putty does not bond glass, pretty much nothing other than a new bead of silicone will fix a leaky tank seam.
