Anyone using Solar Panels?

I'm seriously considering going solar. I haven't done any research yet. Just throwing it out there to see if anyone else use them or have any valuable suggestions.

I had been for at least five years and my bill has decreased dramatically. I purchased the panels. Leasing them , i heard is not that great for your bill. sometimes my bill is zero!

Geothermal is also a very good option, if you want to save on your heating and cooling.

My panels were made in the USA by SHARP. I installed them myself about 10 years ago and I own them. The 22 panels save me $1,500.00 a year.

I was looking into this year ago but put it on hold . Price was kind of steep , plus if you lease them you cant upgrade in case new tech panel come out in a few years . Wondering if 5 years old panel produce the same amount as new .

No they don't. My panels don't make as much power as new panels. It's like 5 watts difference per panel.
