Crak, your office may be a plan. If Tiny is bringing the lil' fugger, I would like to see how that goes. Either way, let me know.

Liquid, email sent. I am shooting for a 3 PM meeting. Unfortunately, I will probably have to return to the office for a few more hours of work and I was hoping to pick up some livestock so the later I bag it up the better.

All the info is in the email.

Hey, guys. Spoke with Crak yesterday, and I won't be able to make it.

hoowwwwever: Steve: bring your phone with you. I'm looking for mini-sized clams for 2 of the tanks, funky acros, you know the drill. Since you're probably heading back to your office, if they have anything worthwhile, maybe you can plop a few things in the office tank for me to pick up.

Have fun: wish I had checked over here sooner, buthave to work Sunday, too.

Steve: my cellprint it out or program it now so you don't lose it.

he's like that little billy goat in those droopy cartoons, billy-billy-billy boy.

that display tank is awesome. great mix of livestock! too bad there weren't price tags written on that tank. ::sigh:: thanks for taking me, steve.

It was great to meet some of you, sorry I couldn't stay longer to meet the rest of you who came after 12:20.

Do we have an idea of how many of us showed up?

That's some show tank! Sure would love to have that running the length of my family room!

Yeah: I got sit alone in my new office cursing at the top of my lungs.

So, livestock, prices, etc: what's the verdict and what did everyone come home with? NO call from Steve, which means that either there were no cheap/smaller clams or ultra acros, or you guys hit a bar somewhere.

Nope, no small low priced clams, nor acros, Ken. There were 5 similar looking 3" blue Croceas for like $100 each I believe and no SPS that I saw except for the show tank. That show tank was one awe inspiring acrylic rectangle I might add, one of the nicest I have ever seen which did make the trip worth it to gawk at. Joe also seems like a really nice guy.

It was great to see the fellas. I picked up a Favites. Im happy with the piece. I would have to say that Joes tanks looked great. The show tank is just phenomenal!! Id also have to be honest and say that a few of the pieces were a bit $$ for me. However if it comes down to getting a piece of coral or any other live stock I would certinaly go to Joe before I go to New World any day.

Awe inspiring is an understatement. The wrasses in that tank are mostly rare and exotic and he has some funky hybrid tang that was gorgeous.

Joe mentioned something like 12 or 15 people in total.

Liquid came back after stopping by my office and we picked up tinyreef and a new manhattanreefs.com member, who is a friend of mine. Damned if I can't remember his screen name. Awe something or other.

That show tank has what 5 pendants over it? orange fungia, pink with green mouth ric, the greenest gsp I have ever seen. A massive leather, some real nice long tent. plates, tons of fish, acros, clams everywhere.

His livestock is priced about right for a lfs in NYC (remember, everything is more expensive in our fair city - except the crack and the hookers) and with a 10% discount given yesterday, things seemed ok. the clams, which were a mix of crocea (liquid pronounce that however you want heh) and maxima were real nice and for the size, the price wasn't that bad. However, clams are hard enough to keep. I'd rather take the risk of shipping and spend half.

Besides the crew that was there when I was, anyone else catch that funky black sponge in the show tank?

The first time I went there I saw it in a tank and talk to Joe about it, he didn't know if it was a sponge or not but he had it for a long time and before I could buy it he moved it in the display tank. It was doing better in the other tank with less light on it.

Awe, the anthias have decided to hole up in the two inch space between my skimmer inflow box (surface skimmer that doesn't work thanks to the tilted floor). The flasher is still alive too.

I now have 5 fish in the tank that never come out. The anthias did make an appearance right before lights out tho.

Major aquascaping snafu when I put the fish in the tank. I can't wait for this nonsense at work to die down so I can get home at a reasonable hour and show the tank some love. Then I am all set for your suggestions.

Wait till you see what the old man did to the tank. He threw a ton of local fish in the tank. Lost his mind.

When are you coming to see us?
