I would consider it if I had an apex, the price is nice compared to whats out there. The thing that sucks is a lot of people have the classic and I heard it's not backwards compatible.
Let's see if a mod trolls you on this forum. RC used to be a good forum.

Its not yes that is a downside they said the technology isn’t available or it not powerful enough to work with it

You can upgrade now just the main (brain) unit so at least don't have to purchase a complete new system.

Spoke to a few retailers both local and online and they all mentioned more coming very soon which is kind of weird why not just roll them all out at once?

I think the first batch was a test run
they’re gonna let it run for a little bit with a couple hundred pieces out there

No was not test run they just didnt want to delay. There are more coming soon but im sure will still be high demand. Best bet might be putting down deposit with your LFS.
