I've had good success using a large-bore i.v. needle and injecting kalk right into the base of them. That is, of course, if you don't want to save them. It's important to use the large bore needle, not an insulin syringe from the local drugstore. Even well-mixed kalk has enough little fragments to clog tiny needles. My mom is a cardiac nurse, so I got a couple from her to keep around just in case. I'm not sure where to find them, but you can get larger needles at drugstores, if you ask----just let them know you're not a junkie. lol

I've used the kalk/hypodermic needle method on aiptasia in my early reefing years. Good luck talking the drugstore into giving them to you...I've tried, you need a perscription to get anything needle related from them. If you don't know anyone inside the medical profession, your best bet is the family doctor or dentist. Let them know what your using it for and you probably wont get any hassle.

I bought a rock once with this things all over. I have been told they will kill anything else I put in the tank later on. They have since filled my tank ~60 in total. How do I remove them? Or a last resort kill them? I don't want to kill them if I don't have to. My cousin wants his tank to fish only, so he'll take them.

They do carry a nasty little sting that definatley irrates other corals. To remove them. you can simply cut the tops off as close to the "stump" as possible. They can then be attached to a new piece of LR by using bridal veil or rubber bands in your cousin's tank.

The problem wiht cutting them is that you will get another (sometimes more) growing from the stump. To get rid of the stump, you can apply some kalk paste (kalk mixed with RO to the consistency of toothpaste) to the stump and it should kill it off. This is the same method many have used to get rid of aptasia.

my dwarf angel, a rock beauty, eats them like candy! He doesn't touch any other corals or polyps.
I still have some of the anenomes in my frag tank and I will temporarily place the frags in the main tank with the angel and he will graciously clean them off for me!

It seems very mixed results with keeping dwarf angels in a reef dependent on individual fish personality.
