Firstly, I would like to apologise if I gave the wrong impression with my post on Friday, I obviously did as I am disturbed at the lack of any real control over the standard of dialogue on the message board. My point was that Mr A saying that this is the rule maybe for him but not for Mr B. Mr A may have x sized tank and do monthly water changes, Mr B may have the same sized tank and do daily water changes. The insults that flew between BUCKTRONIX and other members served no real constructive point to the discussion, so why post, nazi's, dope, all these subjects have nothing to do with our beloved hobby. What I posted worked for me, my fish DO NOT fight, at 370 gallons (UK, not US!) they have the room, am fed 3 times per day (except tangs which have algae once per day and graze on the 250lb of live rock for the remainder of the day. Water changes are carried out every three days (20%), (ref to post about being on a bus with smelly football players!,NAESCO how often is your water changed?). I have studied marine biology and an a divemaster, diving worldwide throughout the year in many natural habitats. I have encountered single minded 'know it alls' on the discus breeders web site and over the years have seen some of the myths re-evaluated.
