I am a member of the Florida Marine Aquarium Society and last night at our monthly meet we saw a great presenatation by Roy of www.sea-critters.com of their Aquaculture setup for live rock and coral propagation.
they have a great looking facility and Roy went into great detail of the whole process of aquaculturing their rock. His wife Teresa runs the www.sea-critters.com site. I have not seen any of the pieces in person, only pictures, but I can say that the setup was top notch, and would expect their products to be as good. Prices are not too bad either!
I don't receive and kickbacks or anything, i just wanted to inform all of you of another option when getting rock and corals that are NOT wild, and are propagated- something that to me is really important having seen first hand what is happening to the indo-pacific and carribbean reefs by pouchers and just plain negligence. I guess it's my small way of saving the planet
