How do you support your tank?

so...I've been thinking recently.. and seeing that I've been unemployed for a while, I'm now getting the urge to buy new things for my tank.. who doesn't right? BUT... no money = no new live rock or corals.... so I've come up with a decision to support one hobby with another... and I ask the question... How do you support your hobby?

i have a full time job, and go to college. living with the 'rents means i can afford expensive hobbies like fish.

Trade frags for store credit. That doesn't foot the whole bill, but it makes getting new stuff free from time to time. As a matter a fact, I need to frag my frogspawn this weekend. I prolly get $50 - $75 for the frags.

dunno if he was consciously soliciting business, but i agree, an odd post. i expect most of us have day jobs... but it's difficult to avoid posting when a person doesn't have to think to do it not that the conversation here is all that stimulating.

I happened to have remembered some savings bonds my grandmother bought 30 1/2 years ago. They just happen to quit earning interest at 30 yrs. What a coincident.

I find it no more annoying then when people post questions about: type of algaes in the refugiam, or lighting over their new sps tank, or what type of pvc glue is safe. When they can clearly do a search and find that information. Most people never attempt to do a search before putting up another post about a common question. So, do I find his plug for his web site offensive? NO. So back to the top for some more hits on his web site.

i sell frags like louey. i sell mostly star polyps and zoo's and mushrooms. i have used these funds soley to support and supply my new 120gal set up and fish!!

I support mine with private investigations. I investigate anything and everything. Corporate theft , Cheaters, other investigators, you name it!

seriously, so far its been through a job, but now that my tank is pretty full, i can start fraggin a tradin in wicked ways .

Well, I couldn't support my own habit, so I got a job at the LFS where I bought everything. Timing, she's a wonderful thing, here I was without extra $$ to buy what I wanted, and there was old Dougie, with one of his employees just run over by a car. Funny how things work out, eh?
