well I think thats it for the fish, please excuse the spelling. Heres my tank spec's (I thought I listed it under my profile before...oh well :wink: ) :
180g (acrylic) with dual internal overflows and 6.5" deep sand bed (1 " caribsea medium and rest is Southdown),280 lbs liverock , 2 Iwaki MD70's(one pulls water from the tank and other the is return to the tank), 15w UV, DIY skimmer,Korillin 3002 calcium reactor, 33 gal RODI resivoir (barracuda 100gpd RODI).
Lighting: all URI VHO: 3 Icecap ballists (2 430's & 1 660)
4 6ft bulbs @160w ea. (2 aqua sun & 2 atinics)
4 36" bulbs @ 95w ea.(50/50)
total watts: 1020w @ 5.6w per gal.
Heres my sump room specs(all hard plumbed in a different room):
2 50g rubbermaid agricultral tubs (horse troughs), top sump is a refugium with 4" sand bed,80lbs liverock, calupra and 10 hawaiian red mangrove trees. the bottom sump is my mixing sump(its gravity feed from the top sump) and is where my calcium reactor drips into and were I add supplements sometimes.
As far as acclimation for the fish I usually follow the norm:
Float bag for about 15 minutes for temp stablization and then put fish in a seperate container and drip for 45 minutes and then put them in the tank( and I never put any of the LFS water in my tank- I just dump it out)
Background history: I've been running this tank since April 1999, I actually started with a 58g Oceanic reef-ready tank in March of 1998, but I got a good deal on this 180g(used) so i moved up to a larger tank and transfered what I had in my 58g to the 180g. I did all the plumbing and mounting the lights myself (guess 16 yrs in the military made me handy with tools

)
We'll thats about all i have for now,hope I haven't bored anyone to much :? I'll try to post some picks sometime soon, If anybody wants some pics emailed to them let me know...take it easy 8)
