When did this happen!?
Fauna Marin makes skimmers!? Bubble King clones at that!?
With Red Dragon pumps even!?

They have a whole line.

Anyone heard of or seen these in action?

Fauna marin has been making a full line of equipment for a while now. Why Aquarium Obsessed writes red Dragon, I really can not tell but on the Fauna marin site they are labeled as Aquabees.

J, I am sure that was just a typo and Aquarium Obsessed does not mean to misrepresent their products.

Are they crooked? I highly doubt that. That was just a shitty photographer.

As to performance? I have no clue. Never seen one in action.

The FM German site (in english) only lists the jet skimmers not the NW versions. Claude mentioned the RD pumps on the RC thread as did AO. No news as to what size and if it was a typo or whatnot.

The closed needlewheel is interesting and IMO a bad idea. The advertised are draw is far less than these pumps pull on a deltec or H&S. I also imagine they are quite a pain to keep clean.

On another note, that skimmer design sure looks familiar. Can't remember where I've seen that before....

Someone should make NW impellers for the Sicce pumps just in case.

this is a quote from claude regarding the skimmer pump. Looks like you can choose which pump you want. The pics on the AO website are all the same skimmer, so the RD version is not pictured. I don't think it was mentioned what RD pumps they use but if it is the same pumps the BK's use, the skimmers are reasonably priced considering....

You habe different choices

For the Skimmer 1

Aquabee 2000/1 Jet System
Aquabee 2000/1 NeedleWheel

For the Skimmer 2

Aquabee 2000/1 Jet System
Aquabee 2000/1 NeedleWheel
Red Dragon / Needlewheel as a Powerversion

For the Skimmer 3

Aquabee 2000/1 Jet System
Aquabee 2000/1 NeedleWheel
Red Dragon / Needlewheel as a Powerversion

Greetings Claude

well i take that back on the good deal thing...based on the power rating it looks like they are using the pump used on the BK250...Which runs about $1999.

I think i would stick w/ the bubbleking
