Ok, ive had a FOWLR tank for a while now..about 5 months, and ive been having problems with cyano, ive used quite a bit of different techniques to get rid of it, but it always comes back. I thinking about switching my tank to FO..and just use rock, not live rock..anyways, i was going to drain the tank, give my dad the LR back, and the two chromis i have, and scrub it down clean...remove the sandbed, and wash the tank out nice and clean, then get new arogonite* new rock, and buy this snowflake eel..my question..how soon can i buy the eel, and are there any easier ways to do this?

thats a lot of work..reduce feeding, reduce/kill photo period, skim heavily. this seems like a lot easier path that tearing down ur tank.

You will have a worse problem if you remove the LR. You will be removing a substantial portion of your bio-filtration.
