I've read that brittle stars can get pretty big, but I think I have one of the largest specimens. I got this guy not too long ago in some liverock. My theory is that he couldn't be caught out of his hole by the staff at petco so everynight he would come out to dine on the tasty morsels in an over-stocked tank. Untill that is I bought his home. Now he has the whole 55gal to him-self + 4 hermits and 5 snail.

If anyone wants so look at pictures I have 4-5 here you can look at.

the colors of your pix that are linked are sh*t..no offense but i cant make out a couple of the pix...however...what color is the star? If it is a green serpent...mainly green with yellow bristles, ive heard negative things about that species...i had one for a few days...he died really quick...right now i have a black one that is doing fine in my tank...

The color in 7 and 8 are with only the flash and the room light on. The rest are with the hood light on and the flash off.

I don't know what kind it is, but I'm pretty sure its a green.

If you look at "starbait" it's a pic of the star eating my last ocellarus(sp).

LordNikon you suck

ohh I forgot to say this guy is on the glass of the tank. I don't know if anyone's does this, but the bugger went all the way to the top before falling back to the strata. That is one thing I don't want to picture smoothering me in my sleep, lol.
