I JUST DUMPED A CYCLED 12 GALLON NANO INTO A NEW 34 GALLON TANK. I ADDED 8 GALLONS OF NEW WATER. HOW LONG SHOULD I WAIT TO FILL THE TANK WITH NEW WATER? I WAS TOLD ABOUT THREE DAYS. THANKS FOR ANY HELP!

Please don't type in all caps, it "sounds" like yelling.

I'm not sure I follow your question... you added 12 gallons of "existing tank" plus 8 more gallons of water (total volume = 20 gallons) into a 34-gallon tank and you want to know when you should add the remaining 14 gallons?

If that's the question, I'd do it as soon as you can mix and aerate 14 gallons of new saltwater.

How else can you filter it, if the tank isn't properly filled?

I HAVE ABOUT 12 POUNDS OF LR I TRANSFERRED AND PUT 40 LBS OF NEW LS IN THE NEW TANK. 5 SNAILS, 1 EMERALD CRAB, 2 FEATHER DUSTERS, ONE URCHIN, AND ONE CLOWN. I TOOK THE WATER AND LR OUT OF A 12 GALLON NANO CUBE (FIGURE I TRANSFERRED ABOUT 10 GALLONS OF WATER). I ADDED 8G OF NEW WATER. I MODIFIED THE PUMP WITH PVC TO SUCK THE WATER TO THE UPPER OUTPUT BULKHEAD (THE LOWER INPUT BULKHEAD IS ALREADY SUBMERGED. I DON'T WANT MY WATER TO RECYLCE. THANKS FOR YOUR INPUT.

HI!

JUST PROPERLY MIX UP ENOUGH WATER, CHECK TO MATCH SG, PH, AND TEMP, AND FILL THE TANK NOW!

GOOD LUCK!
