what all do you run your salinity at? (in ppt) im running in 1.026 which is 35 ppt..sound good or no?

i run mine at 1.025, i know alot of guys do that, just cause that is more or less what ocean water is. just my 2cents. austin

1.025 here. If I remember you have a mostly fish only system PJ. If you aren't keeping shrimp , corals, clams etc running your salinity lower will not only save you some money but will also make it easier on the fish at a lower salinity - maybe 1.021-22. Some people even keeptheir FOWLR tanks as low as 1.018.

yea...i got some aneomnes in there too...just 2 LTAs It was an accident that it got to 1.026, but i just left it there. I figure in a couple weeks, I'll probably splash that extra thousand of salt out of the tank by accident. hehe

I keep my SG at 1.026. The fish taste better at higher SGs, imo.
