Whats the best way to stick live rock together?

I am just wondering if it is best to use silicon, or two part epoxy.I have used the two part epoxy before but after about two weeks when i move something the epoxy seems to break off one of the surfaces. Ihave used the Aqua Medic stuff.

Would silicon work?

I like to drill tow rocks and stick an acrylic rod then put globbs of two part expoxy to bond them all together.

Here is a link to a thread where I showed some pictures of some rocks that I drilled to keep the rocks off the bottom glass.

Hope that helps! ;)

Why not just make sure they are all stable? This way you can change it around if you get bored.

That process took no time at all. Well, maybe 15 minutes for those rocks. It's just drilling and glueing. Pretty simple actually.

Stacking rocks using rods would require a little more layout. You would need to figure out a way that two rocks would fit together, then drill and glue accordingly.

I prefer black zip ties, or simply buy what they call "large show rock" I've got some 30 pound rocks in my current tank, sure makes it easy to stack when one rock makes up one whole end of the tank.

I got lucky, no boulders.
