Have you thought about throwing some live rock into the tank? I'm sure the bacteria colonies on the LR would help keep your nitrogen cycle in check.

Well I think I am over the nitrate fiasco but it cost me almost half of the combined batch 1 and 2.
I am probably down to 200 to 250 total from the first 2 batches with the bulk of the ones that made it seem to be from the 1st batch.
The first batch is 33 days old! I guess I need to start thinking about moving them to one of the 25's I have out in the garage.
Here's the latest pic. They kind of remind me of a big scrum in rugby.
The road isn't over yet, but hopefully I'm through the worst of the nitrites. I ended up doing 2 - 66%+ waterchanges back to back to knock them back to livable conditions for the fry. Been testing since and may end up doing another big waterchange tomorrow.
Batch 3 is almost ready to morph and Batch 4 is a few days away from hatching out!
FWIW, Nathan
P.S. - Baalz has been very helpful in getting me going and has given me some great advice in mIRC. There is no substitute for real life experience in raising clownfish!
Update - It's been just over 6 weeks. I had some losses last weekend when I was impatient moving them out into the garage and siphoned some of them out with a larger diameter tubing and it was a bit to much on some of them. I have to keep reminding myself how fragile they are. Since them I haven't lost any. They are eating pretty much anything they can fit in their mouths now. The largest ones are getting close to 1/2" now.
Here are some pics:
And here is the new ghetto reefer setup in my garage:
I've been using a sponge filter and lots of water changes since they morphed.
I just added an aquaclear hang on powerfilter with some bioball type things in it this weekend. I'm using the units rated for a 50 gallon tank. I have 4 more of the acrylic 25 gallon tanks from the last petsmart remodeling job (got them for $10 each with bulkheads).
I have a remora pro hang on protein skimmer that I may fire up on it here before too long.
Im thinking of using either sponge or corner filters when I set up my grow tank for some corals in my garage. Have u had any algae problems? BTW what do you plan on doing with the babies once there all grown up?
