JBJ compact fluorescent / powercompact ballast question

I have a dumb question.

I have a 16 gallon cube setup that came with an 18W Compact Fluorescent JBJ clamp on lamp.

It has a "UL listed electronic ballast"

Can I only plug an 18 W bulb into this, or can I go bigger? If I can increase watts, what is the safe limit?

I'm fairly certain that the ballast will only be able to fire a bulb with the same wattage. Even if it will fire, its not going to put out more power than it is rate for.

only option is to upgrade ballats... anything esle like "overdriving" is stupid and a fire hazard.
