tang feeding..

my yellow and scopus tangs used to eat this form of caleurpa i had in my tank. but they ate it up. today i got one of those feeding clips that looks like a clown fish and some green marine algae "seaweed selects" by ocean nutrition.

yay or nay? what do yall feed your tangs?

u can use any type of sea weed. broclie is ok, but the sea weed is the best

My tangs eat small portions 3 - 4 x's per day, I feed them a Blender mush of meaty foods and add Life Line, Formula II, cyclopeeze. My Kole loves spectrum pellets so I add them 2 x's a day for him. I have the clips and hang seaweed selects on it everyday. And for thier midnight snack live brine.

My fish, get 8 feeds a day, through an eheim autofeeder, which is full of ocean nutrution formula 1 pellet. They also get 2 feeds, of mysis. plus for the algy eaters, 2 sheets of nori seaweed everyday. The tangs love it all, especially.

I like to supplement my tangs nitely meaty dinner with nori or seaweed select (same thing) and occsionally I clip on a strip of zuccini. My atlantic blue tang seems quite fat. I only supplement the meaty foods a couple of times a week with clip on stuff.
