This is fairly difficult to answer. IMO lighting is a very personal choice if you're going purely for aesthetic value... what's not blue to one guy might be "too" blue for you. Best suggestion I can give is to start at 10K and work your way toward whatever coloration strikes your fancy.

Well in that case:

13K's are not nearly blue enough for me. I prefer a 20K XM DE.

I use them, I think they look just blue enough...

My wife thinks they look a little to blue, with not enough "white"...

I'm using 2x40watt actinics as a supplement. So if I use them with the 13Ks won't they look kind of like a 20K anyway?

I use 3X150 HQI 20K's with 2X40 actinic supplementation and I think that looks great.
