I have algae growing in my tank, that is not a problem, doesn't bother me, because I know exactly what is causing it.
That is not what is stumping me
What is really getting me curious is this. I have brown algae that covers the sand on top of my DSB in places. For the last week there have been these white piles of sand growing out of the algae. I can't for the life of me figure out what could be doing it.
I have 2 chalk bass, 1 longnose hawkfish, and one bicolor blenny.
It really seems like something underneath the sand is pushing up and forming these piles.
Very strange.
Since my description of the whole thing probably tells you absolutely nothing, here is a picture...
