Zap vs IC gel

zap just sucks. the purpose of glue is to bond something together. it does work well in my opinion

I'd be glad to offer up four free tubes of your choice of glue to anyone who can do a side by side demonstration of both glues with photos.

For example:

Test 1 - SPS to discs
Test 2 - SPS to live rock
Test 3 - live rock to live rock (can be small rocks)
Test 4 - Softies to anything (i.e. zoas to rock or plastic)
Test 5 - Your choice (perhaps underwater glue tests)

If anyone can show photos of two different types of glue side by side in at least three of the tests above, I'll give you whichever glue you want.

You forgot eh most important test ,,test # 6 ,,fingers to fingers ,cus i always get glue on my hands ,fingers ,have no clue how ,but it doesa and i can tell you ,IC gel is the bomb .in all 6 test

i use whatever super glue gel i can find in the store...some brands work better than others...usually the cheap stuff works better for some odd reason...

my LEAST favorites are loctite and krazy brand...but all have got the job done for me...

in other words...i don't go out of my way to get a specific glue...grab them in hardware and drug stores...never bought the stuff from the fish store.

I bought a cheaper brand of glue (similar to IC gel) at the swap and it worked very well - at gluing my fingers together, but it did not work at all with regards to gluing a frag of leather coral to a rock, or a rock to another rock.

Stick with the good stuff.

I have a special bonding agent designed for IC that basically makes it harden once you spray it, but I haven't had a chance to test it with corals and figure out how to wash the coral after spraying it.
