Never considered it. I did get a bottle of brine eggs when I bought my tank but don't know how to hatch them.

I have this two litre bottle with bottom 1/2 cut off and a tube, don't understand what I'm supposed to do with it though. :?

Mark me down for muffins! No, put me in the thought about it, but found out it wasn't worth the hassle :) With Reed Mariculture "local" to my area it's really a matter of just buying stuff that is made by pros.

I don't dose phyto.. although my clam probably would be happier if I did, I figure I have enough brown algae in the tank to keep him happy :)

I do feed rotifers though (roti-feast it's Faaaaaantastic! :D), don't do it daily though as some do for their coral tanks, again dirty enough tank that I feel that they are getting some food without me doing any additional stuff but I do want to make definate sure they have food hence a spot feed.

Don't do brine either, but that's because I have a live population of mysis(mysid?) in my tanks as well as assorted other "pods" living in my refugium or overflows. I'd really be curious how large the populations would grow if I had no fish in the tank, where is the cut'off population limit I'm sure fish poop helps keep them alive though.

I did in the past, it's not that hard but you do have to pay attention to it every other day or so.

I started because I was trying to raise tomato clownfish babies, now THAT was something that is not worth the hassle! One day I woke up and realized, Why on earth would anyone want to make MORE tomato clowns, those suckers are mean!

I haven't cultured my own.

I recently tried Reed Mariculture's Roti-Feast and Phyto-Feast. Since my tank is mostly SPS corals, I plan to continue using Roti-Feast. My corals seem to have colored up a bit and look healthier since I started using

I voted no, other reason. I really need a no, but plan to in the future. I have recently transferred my 55g to a 100g and plan to have a lot more fish, including a mandarin and bartletts anthias. With the heavier fish load, I would like to start culturing the tigger pods from Reed to feed my tank.

I've done all three, and all I can say is NEVER EVER let brine shrimp get mixed in with your 'pod culture

I have wanted to try to grow my own food, but never had the chance to set up anything.

Roti-Feast really helps make "pod" populations explode. Mysids, copepods, etc, all love to eat the phyto filled sacks called rofiters :D

I feed rotifers (Roti-Feast + live), copepods(Tigger-Pods + Arcti-Pods), and phytoplankton (Phyto-Feast Live) to my corals :D I have unlimitted access to all the above in both live and concentrated forms, so my only concern is my weekly water changes :D
